It’s been quite some time since we last visited\u00a0Library\u00a0District <\/a>. We mean, it’s not like we’re avoiding it, we’ve just been…you know, busy with other stuff. We’ve been meaning to call though, we promise.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But that’s all in the past now and we’re ready to focus here, on you, Library District. You’re the only star in this post.<\/p>\n

Since we Last saw Library District, the progress has been phenomenal. Workers are 9 floors up, with the\u00a010th floor to begin pouring next week.<\/p>\n

From the ground up, and even without it’s exterior dressings, the building looks amazing.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If we’re not mistaken, none of this stuff was here when we were here last. Well done, construction crew!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Hang on a second, is that…?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

WINDOWS?! Yep, the windows have been moved into place and are ready for install next week. \u00a0That’s pretty big news!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This is the view from a second floor unit, the pillars to the left are the amenitis building, while the construction in the center of the image is no other then Toronto’s 100th library underway simultaneously!<\/p>\n

Here’s a look inside one of the units, minus the doors and drywall and framing. Quite a nice little space if we do say so.<\/p>\n

This is the crane starting to slowly inch it’s way up as needed, \u00a0the picture above is the base of it on the third floor.<\/p>\n

Everyone hit the deck! I ..what, you’re telling me \u00a0it’s not in commission? We guess we should have known that<\/a> . Oh well, in that case – resume your regularly scheduled blog reading.<\/p>\n

Even from the third floor, looking down the elevator shaft can induce vertigo.<\/p>\n

Next update will come much quicker, as once the windows are in, framing and plumbing\/electrical work can begin.<\/p>\n

Library District is connected to the City of Toronto’s 100th public library, and is steps away from the national historic site of Fort York.<\/p>\n
