One of our favourite events of the year is back, and with about 40 new buildings, including University of Toronto\u2019s Knox College, and the Cornell Campbell House.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><!--more-->Library District&#8217;s neighbours, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.toronto.ca\/wps\/portal\/contentonly?vgnextoid=c14df35f00f15410VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD&amp;building=411DDCE37A9AF81B85257C8B007355AD\">Fort York Armoury <\/a>and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.toronto.ca\/wps\/portal\/contentonly?vgnextoid=c14df35f00f15410VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD&amp;building=C74344B83370F76185257C59006E0827\">Fort York National Historic Site<\/a> will also be opening their doors.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kpmb.com\/index.asp?navid=30&amp;fid1=49&amp;fid2=124&amp;fid3=32&amp;minyearx=&amp;maxyearx=\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3030\" title=\"up-1161\" src=\"https:\/\/www.context.ca\/blog\/wordpress-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/up-1161.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"530\" height=\"239\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Anyway, the theme for this year\u2019s Doors Open Toronto is Secrets and Spirits \u2026 Exploring the Mysteries Behind the Door, which means ghosts. No really, people will have access to spaces previously unseen, an underground church bowling alley, a hidden tomb (yes, in TORONTO), and haunted tunnels.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">There\u2019s also going to be an exciting speakers series, walking tours, including the Haunted Walk of Tour to coincide with the theme, \u00a0and some other special programs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On Saturday, May 24th the <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.toronto.ca\/wps\/portal\/contentonly?vgnextoid=dc94c900cd245410VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD&amp;vgnextfmt=default\">Fort York Blue Barracks &amp; Mess <\/a>will host a talk entitled \u201cRedesigning Toronto\u201d at 2 PM (we\u2019ll wait for you to put this in your iCal).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Moderated by the wonderful Author and Journalist Shawn Micallef, the talk will touch on a bunch of topics that will affect the future urban and architectural planning of Toronto.
