The industry has exploded in the last couple of years, and now some of the country&#8217;s most interesting and innovative breweries are right here in the GTA. We\u2019ve chosen a handful of the best, and we hope if you haven\u2019t tried them you will after reading this! Haven&#8217;t been converted to craft beer fandom yet? Watch this short clip from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/103444751\">Indie Ale House Brewing<\/a> and you&#8217;ll be a convert in no time.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/steamwhistle.ca\/\">Steam Whistle<\/a> &#8211; You must have heard of this one, but have you visited their space? Toronto\u2019s most famous craft brewery was founded in 2000, the Steam Whistle Brewery is steps away from the Roger&#8217;s Centre and CN Tower, so make a stop next time you&#8217;re in the area. They also have offers customers a <a href=\"http:\/\/steamwhistle.ca\/homedelivery\/index.php\">delivery service<\/a> that hooks you up with brewery fresh beer whenever you want it!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amsterdambeer.com\/\">Amsterdam<\/a> &#8211; Toronto\u2019s oldest craft brewery, Amsterdam started as a Brewpub in 1986. Unlike most craft brewers who generally start with an ale, Amsterdam entered the race with a blonde lager. From there they now have a wide selection of just about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amsterdambeer.com\/#latest-work\">every variety<\/a> there is. Plus, their packaging is super-bright and perfect for sunny days on the patio.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bellwoodsbrewery.com\/\">Bellwoods<\/a> &#8211; Still a baby as far as Toronto breweries go, Bellwoods Brewery opened it\u2019s brew pub and retail store in 2012, and went on to win <a href=\"http:\/\/bellwoodsbrewery.com\/about\/awards\/\">best local microbrewery 2013 + 2014<\/a>. They brew tons of variety, so you never know what you&#8217;ll get on any given day &#8211; and that&#8217;s a good thing! Go be a guinea pig at their beautiful Ossington Avenue space, and you might find your new favourite summer staple.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.junctioncraftbrewing.com\/jcb\/\">Junction Craft<\/a> &#8211; Junction&#8217;s signature style, Conductor&#8217;s Craft Ale, uses a brewing technique called \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yjcfL43ZZxE&amp;feature=youtu.be\">\u2018hopback\u2019<\/a>, imparting an interesting flavour which you don&#8217;t find everywhere.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.indiealehouse.com\/\">Indie Ale House<\/a> &#8211; Of the newer breweries in the city, Indie Ale House&#8217;s passion shines through in every sip. Indie Ale House knows that people want a beer that tastes great, with such a large selection of flagships, rare brews, and \u201cone hit wonders,\u201d you\u2019d have a hard time not finding something to tell your friends about.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/millstreetbrewery.com\/\">Mill Street<\/a> &#8211; Another Toronto success story with <a href=\"http:\/\/millstreetbrewery.com\/about-us-2\/\">\u201cwell over 100 awards, including 3-time Canadian Brewery of the Year,\u201d<\/a> Mill Street started in 2002 with <a href=\"http:\/\/millstreetbrewery.com\/original-organic-lager\/\">Ontario\u2019s very first organic lager<\/a>. Now, they offer five core varieties with a selection of seasonals to complete the lineup, and a <a href=\"http:\/\/millstreetbrewery.com\/our-specialties\/\">huge selection of specialties<\/a> that can only be found at their four brew pubs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.leftfieldbrewery.ca\/\">Left Field <\/a>&#8211; One of Toronto&#8217;s newest breweries, Left Field is making a big splash on the scene. Run by baseball fans (obviously), the baseball themed brews focus around the ale family which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leftfieldbrewery.ca\/beers\/maris\">apparently pairs well with stadium food<\/a>. Stop by their brewery to watch the next Jays game &#8211; it&#8217;ll beat $10 Canadian at the ACC by a mile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What Toronto craft brews are on your list?
