Some of the things we can think of include: architecture, nightlife, art and culture, infrastructure and transit. We also believe that public spaces should be\u00a0right at the top of that list.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Public spaces are one of the\u00a0most\u00a0important\u00a0fibers in the &#8220;fabric of society&#8221; and\u00a0they help define the character of a city<em>. <\/em>As the centers of community life, public spaces\u00a0bring people together and they connect us to the city and to each other.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.context.ca\/blog\/wordpress-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Library-Distrcict-Condominiums.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Library Distrcict Condominiums, Toronto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.context.ca\/blog\/wordpress-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Library-Distrcict-Condominiums.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"433\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Public spaces are an important part of a city&#8217;s political and social life; which is why our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.librarydistrictcondos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Library District Condominiums<\/a> will be\u00a0connected to a community park and to Toronto&#8217;s 100th public library.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, because we strongly believe in the power of public spaces, we&#8217;ll also be exploring and analysing their \u00a0importance in our new\u00a0<strong><em>Public Spaces <\/em><em>series<\/em><\/strong>. We&#8217;ll also be taking a look at the past present and future of \u00a0libraries in Toronto and the world in our\u00a0<strong><em>Library series<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Great public spaces define world class cities and we&#8217;re excited about using our blog to celebrate their importance in shaping our cities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What defines a world class city?
