Preparing for Nuit Blanche 2014

So y’all know we love public art and love the city, right? It should come as no surprise that we’re big fans of Nuit Blanche then! If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years then we’ll quickly fill you in on what one of Toronto’s biggest fall events is.It started in 2006 as an all-night exploration and celebration of art in the city. It goes from dusk to dawn and brings out literally hundreds of thousands of people. Besides being an all-night art festival, it’s also just a major Toronto party. Many restaurants and bars stay open all night so that Toronto becomes the city that never sleeps, for reals.

Here’s what you can look forward to for Nuit Blanche this Saturday:

– More than 125 contemporary art projects from St. Clair West to Fort York Boulevard, and from Roncesvalles to Regent Park.
– 4 really cool, specially curated exhibitions including Before Day Break and The Night Circus at Fort York Bouelvard.
– 80 independent projects by Toronto’s own art community.
– Themed contemporary art lectures.
– Late night eats from Tiny Tom Donuts, Busters Sea Cove, Steel Cut Coffee, Gourmet Gringos, Smoke’s Poutinerie and others.
– Late night drinks with a 4 AM last call from The Drake Hotel, The Beverley, Rock Lobster and others.

Remember, the TTC has a Special Event TTC Pass for Nuit Blanche which is valid from Saturday, October 4th until 9 AM on Sunday, October 5th and it’s only $11.00. The Bloor-Danforth subway will be running all night from Keele to Woodbine, and the Yonge-University-Spadina will run all night from St. Clair West to Eglinton.

Have fun Saturday night/Sunday morning, and be safe!
