A Festive Construction Update

If you’ve been up around Yorkdale lately you will have noticed there’s been a lot of excitement and development going on. Not only at the shopping centre, but also at The Yorkdale Condominiums! This project is the first phase in the 100-acre master planned community just south of the shopping mall. The 15-storey condo will be a gem in the neighbourhood, adding to the already thriving area. We’ve reached some exciting construction milestones, and thought an update might be the perfect holiday gift to our purchasers and followers.

A Look at Celestica as Wynford Green

The plan for the ‘Celestica site’ found at 844 Don Mills Road in North York has been reimagined in many different ways, and more than a few times since 2014. With the Crosstown LRT set to run right through the area, a focus on creating a dynamic, mixed-use space has become the driving force behind this development. With a new application having been submitted, the vision of the site has evolved in yet another new and exciting way.

Touring Toronto’s Libraries

One of Toronto’s greatest feats is its library system. Not only is it the largest public library system in Canada, but it’s the largest neighbourhood-based system in the world. With 100 libraries spanning all across the city, the city’s collection has over 12 million items in total for use by the public.

Our Library District Condos is proudly being built right beside Toronto’s 99th library, the Fort York Library! This 16,000 square foot library will be just steps away from our 29-storey condo at Bathurst and Fort York, making it a great neighbourhood amenity for our owners.

Although our neighbourhood library is one of the city’s newest, many of the other public libraries in the city have been around for a long, long time. Let’s take a look back at a few of them:

North Midtown/Yorkville. - 1968-1985

Dufferin/St. Clair Library

Buildings - Libraries, Marcott, Dupont & Christie. - 1990-1994

Runnymede Branch Public Library

What’s Within 15 Minutes of Don Mills and Eglinton?

In case you missed it, we’re cooking up something pretty big for the Don Mills and Eglinton area! Plans for Celestica Lands, a new development we’re working on with Diamond Corp and Lifetime Developments, are well underway now. We’re looking forward to bringing a new and exciting community to the area!

In anticipation of our redevelopment of Celestica Lands, we’ve rounded up some of the best places within walking distance of the area and mapped them out. Everything featured on the map is within 15 minutes of the site – you’ll find restaurants, museums, parks, and so much more.

“Context has teamed up with Diamond Corp and Lifetime Developments on the redevelopment of the Celestica Lands at Don Mills and Eglinton.  We look forward to working together with the team and various stakeholders on the creation of a vibrant new community.”

Howard Cohen, President – Context

Live in one of our most popular communities before it’s sold out for good!

Heretofore on this day, the 13th day of November, in the year two thousand and fourteen, let it be known that the publication known as Toronto Life has written a proclamation that Context shall be crowned the King of Toronto.

We made a video! Exciting, right? Now you’ll be able to see how we’re going to transform the area, how we’re SO close to public transit, steps away from Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and some renderings of The Yorkdale.

HOW GORGEOUS IS THAT VIEW? Sorry, we can’t hold in our excitement!

We know you’ve been itching to see some renderings from The Yorkdale ever since we announced our newest project. Well, ask and you shall receive! Okay wait, that’s not true – that phrase won’t always get you what you want but in this case, it worked. Without further ado…

It’s always bittersweet to announce when a project is completely sold out, but here we are once again … Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Library District is SOLD OUT!
