This weekend we found out that Toronto heroes and rock icons, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush, are having a park named after them. Since we have a mayor who is insistent on proclaiming things, we thought we’d offer up a few more suggestions to what and who Toronto can honour with a park.
Okay, now that you’ve recovered from Canada Day festivities, it’s time to start planning beach dates and weekends at the cottage! Can you guess what the common denominator is for all summer excursions? If you guessed beer, you’re probably right, but we’re thinking books and plenty of ’em! And with the newly opened Fort York Library right next door to Library District, you have no excuse to not read more this summer!

By now you should already know that we’re headed to Yorkdale for our new project, The Yorkdale. Cue applause and cheer.
Yes, we’re going north of Bloor because believe it or not, there’s still plenty of fun to be had outside of our little Toronto downtown core. Besides some of the best shopping in the city (sorry Bloor St., you’re fine and all until it starts to snow), there’s also plenty of amenities in and around the Yorkdale ‘hood including Downsview Park!
Yeah, yeah… The cat’s out of the bag, and we’re working on a condominium project called The Yorkdale, and well, it’s near Yorkdale. So near in fact, you could probably walk there and not have to take the TTC. We’ll share with you more information on that as soon as possible, but for now let’s look at what else we could’ve called the project.
It was a beautiful day in the Market Wharf neighbourhood and we felt like it was finally time to check out the much-talked about Market Street Catch. It opened up shop not too long ago on, well … Market Street and it’s the sister of Buster’s Sea Cove, which you know we love. It’s right across from the St. Lawrence Market, where we may or may not have stopped for dessert after, but that’s another post for another day.
Anyway, back to Market Street.

We like being nominated for things and were really happy when we were nominated for the much-acclaimed Pug Awards, which celebrates the best in Toronto architecture and planning. Founded in 2004, the Pug Awards invite the regular folk of Toronto to vote on the best, the middling and the worst of Toronto’s new real estate developments.
To qualify for a Pug Award, the building must have been completed last year in 2013, be located in the city of Toronto, and have an area equal to or greater than 50,000 square feet.
We’d totally love your support and vote – positive vote only please, none of that ‘LIKE IT or ‘HATE IT’ stuff.

So we did tell you we’re going to Yorkdale and it’s not just because it’s one of the best malls in the city slash country. Well it might be the reason why. Anyway, we couldn’t help but notice you wearing those pleated khakis and sweater vest combo and thought that it’s about time you stop wearing your dad’s hand-me-downs. You’re an adult now, so we figured it’s due time that you finally start dressing like an adult.
Yup, it’s time.
So grab your credit card – we’re going to Yorkdale to get you swagged out for the summer.
There are people who totally love furniture shopping and relish in spending hours and hours scouring the city in search of the perfect Ottoman. Then there’s people who couldn’t give a care in the world for spending endless amounts of time furniture shopping but want their place to look pretty swanky.
